Never Can find the pot of gold...but I'll keep looking!

One of the advantages of carrying your camera with you everywhere you go is once in a while something beautiful happens and you have a permenant (sort of) reminder. I've seen many a pretty rainbow!

I did it!

I did it! well sort of. I made some cupcakes. I've found that I'm much better at eating cupcakes than I am at decorating them. Oh well what can you do? except eat them?

Macro photography or something.

These now hang as pictures in my new office space....Found frames at wal-mart for 3 bucks!!! It was just a big blank wall and I had to scrounge for pictures that were appropriate but I think these three tie into eacother pretty well. Two bottom ones were taken on a camping trip and the poor little dragon fly burner his wing flying over our bonfire at home...he's pretty though!

Sweet, Sweet, Love

Can you guess what this post is about?!

CUPCAKES! it's my new obsession so to speak. I love cupcakes! ...well eating them anyways. I've started buying equipment (frosting tips/bags, decorations etc) to make them. I don't know why but cupcakes make me happy! I mean really...think about it...have you ever eaten a cupcake without smiling? My sources say no, and I always trust my sources.

I actually had a dream about these little gems...well sorta...they looked more "ice creamish" in my dreams. I think it's a sign.

These look really sweet as well! I might make these! Frank is a total enabler. He brought me home two cupcake tins and one mini cupcake tin... I have to say it's one of my favorite presents I've got from him recently!!! Here are some of the things I have made (and documented because otherwise my mother would never believe me):

Left is Frank's Bday cupcakes and right is the cake i made (hard to see it was white frosting and fondant roses) right after Frank's parents bought us my kitchen aide mixer that I'm in love with.

I will update when i attempt my cupcake masterpieces soon.

As for a Bracket update: mine shattered over the weekend. It's more like I picked all the losing teams...so many upsets. Oh well!

Haley Luck

I feel like my luck is changing. The past two weekends I have won something. Now this might not seem like a big deal to most of you but most of you do not possess the "Haley Luck".

The "Haley Luck" reminds me of the saying "if it weren't for bad luck I'd have no luck at all" because you see we have luck of sorts. We are one in a million...but one in a million with bad things such as: various people in my family have been known to buy two left shoes *coughmomcough* speaking of shoes, I have been known to buy two DIFFERENT COLOR shoes.. It's true. It happened. I wore them.

Anyways I feel as though it's finally changing for the better. Frank and I (my husband) have been having rotten luck lately. We took a BIG hit in taxes this year and last year we lost so many that we loved I don't even want to write it down. It's been a rough rough couple of years.

BUT: this past weekend I won 165 bucks on quickdraw!! and the weekend before I won a bottle of wine at a company function!!!! that's TWO weekends in a row! next weekend I'm buying in mega millions (a girl can dream right?!)

Someone Has to be looking out for me don't you think? Miracles do happen...I've seen it!

By the way: this is from our trip to Ireland in 2009...there is no feeling that will compare to witnessing this. none. Screw the pot of gold. I'll sit right here on these rocks and stare at this forever if I could.
